If you are exporting your blog, there are a few things you should know.
1. It will take days to export your blog
My smaller blog of 2 ½ years took 3 days.
2. Once you start the process, you can CLOSE the window. You can even SHUT DOWN your PC or laptop.
3. Tumblr will send you an email saying you can now download your zip file. Just click on the link in the email to get started.
4. The download will also take a while to complete. DO NOT SHUT DOWN your PC or laptop during this process.
I hope this will make things a little easier for those of you that are going to save your blog for a new home.
